All of our unexceptionally handcrafted kilts are made of either 5 or 8/9 yards of 13oz weight worsted wool cloth, which ensures that the pleats stay as sharp as possible and that the kilt has a full "swing". They are traditionally hand sewn by fully qualified kilt makers, who have many years of experience in this trade.

Most kilts are pleated to set as standard, which means that the pattern of the kilt is repeated at the back, to mirror the front. Some tartans can however be pleated to stripe, where a predominant stripe is chosen to run down each pleat. Please enquire for further details, or to check if the tartan you choose can be made in this way.

All our kilts are traditionally hand stitched and made using the finest quality canvas, linings, and heavy duty buckles and straps. Complete with belt loops as standard and finished with a triple fringe, this top seller is available in over 150 of the most popular tartans.
The delivery time depends an our orders and is app 6 - 8 weeks.

To meet the requirements of a smaller budget we, of course, can also offer you machine sewn kilts.

Please also note that the price range on anything made of tartan is very big being due to the fact that the cost price can vary hugely from one mill to another and also depending if the tartan is woven single or double width. Therefore I suggest that you write an email about the kilt you want me to produce for you including the tartan, the measurement, and if you want a 5 or 8 yard machine or hand sewn kilt.
