Our comfortable yet elegant light weight trews are a distinctive alternative to wearing a kilt. Expertly tailored in Scotland using 11oz 100% pure new wool, our Lightweight Trews are an ideal dual-purpose garment for both formal and casual occasions. Particularly suitable for travel and warmer climates, the trews are supplied with: slanting front pockets, right hand hip pocket, belt loops, brace buttons, zip fly, cavalry cut bottoms and are lined to the knee as standard. Available in over 150 of the most popular tartans.
We produce two kinds of tartan trousers. Firstly, there are the military style trews (high waist, fishtail for braces, one pocket at waistband because there are no seams on the outside leg, military cut on the cuffs) but these don’t easily sit properly on a man with a waist above 40 or hips above 42 inches. They are also made to be tight across the seat. For all others, we make excellent tartan trousers. Both are fine examples of the craftsmanship and expertise honed to perfection by our tailor here in Scotland. Whether it be a wedding, christening or a dinner dance, stand out in the crowd with this splendid choice of formal wear. Available in over 150 of the most popular tartans.
