The Mess jacket is very formal, and should only be worn for evening 'black tie' functions. Other jackets can be chosen more according to your preferred style. For further details please email us direct.
Most jackets are available either 'off the peg' or made to measure, in a full range of styles, sizes and colours. Once we have a note of your measurements, we will contact you to discuss the best option.
The
Prince
Charlie Jacket comes complete
with a waistcoat (vest). This is a very formal jacket, and as such should
traditionally only be worn for evening 'black tie' functions.
Nowadays however, it is by far the most popular style, being worn to all events from Weddings to Ceilidhs. The Prince Charlie would be worn without a belt and buckle (this would bulk under the vest), a full dress sporran, off white socks and ghillie brogues. The same kilt can be worn with either jacket style.
The jacket can be delivered "made to measure" or "off peg".

The
Argyll
Men´s Jacket is probably
the most versatile, in that it can be worn with a regular shirt and tie
during the day, or dressed up with a wing collar shirt and bow tie in the
evening.
The most popular example of when this could be worn, is to an afternoon wedding, where the shirt and tie would be changed for the evening reception. The same kilt can be worn with either jacket style.
The jacket can be delivered "made to measure" or "off peg".

Tartan
Trousers are always made to
measure and so can be finished in any style you prefer. This means they
can be worn with any outfit for any occasion.
Tartan
trews are available in a multitude of tartans and also a good variety of
styles.
These
options are available on the measurement form.
Prices
are based on made to measure. Style may therefore be determined by the
customer. These garments are available in HW1, LD1, and AR1 fabrics.
The trousers can be delivered "Medium/heavy weight" or "Heavy weight (SSW)".

The
Jacobite
is a romantic traditional style of shirt. Very sexy!
Please

These
Waistcoats
are worn with the kilt and a very loose fitting kilt shirt. These are worn
with a jacobite 'loose fitting' shirt and can be made from either a forest
green moleskin, or charcoal grey tweed. We offer several styles of potaine, the choice of which
is simply a matter of personal preference. Generally you can choose the Lowlander Potaine
left picture) or the Frontier Potaine
(right picture).

Shoes:
Ghillie
Brogues are the standard
kilt shoes worn with any highland outfit and available in a patent finish.
They are of 100% leather, include the laces and toggles, and are available
in half and whole sizes (please tell us your size!).
These
shoes are open fronted and the long laces go around the ankle and tie.
Leather sole and upper.
The
Ghillie Brogue style is the most popular being appropriate to wear with
most outfits.

Socks:
Most of our socks are 80% wool, 20% acrylic, although varying blends are available on request, from 100% wool to 100% cotton. They are available in off-white, or a range of colours. We can also supply clan hose to match your kilt. These are 100% wool, and made to order, with making time being in the region of 6 weeks.

top Hose are the most popular socks for general wear.
They
are normally worn with the Argyll or Prince Charlie outfits although matching
tartan or diced hose can also be specially made to match any tartan.

Flashes:
Flashes
are available in a range of colours, and made with a combination elastic
and Velcro fastening for comfort. These Boy´s Garter Flashes were
originally pieces of ribbon used to hold up the leggings however, today's
flashes are a bit more refined and are made with an adjustable elastic
strap.
They tend to match the colour of the kilt such as a plain red, green or blue but can also be made in the same tartan as the kilt.
